Pacamara is a hybrid created by a Salvadoran agricultural scientist in 1957. It is a derivative of two different varieties, Pacas: a Salvadoran variety from Bourbon with high productivity and small size bean, and Maragogipe: introduced from Zimbabwe in 1901 to Blue Mountain of Jamaica. Maragogipe is a low yielding Arabica variety and it’s recognized by connoisseurs as the largest coffee beans in the world.
